DemandLoop receives the inventory webhook from Shopify and counts available units against the subscriber queue.

Fair Queue calculates the batch

Based on your Fair Queue settings, DemandLoop sends notifications only to the first N subscribers — proportional to available stock.

Remaining subscribers notified on next restock

Subscribers not reached in this batch stay in the queue and are prioritized for the next inventory update.

How does Fair Queue decide who gets notified first?

Subscribers are queued in chronological order — whoever subscribed earliest is notified first. This is transparent and fair to your customers.

What happens to subscribers not reached in the first batch?

They remain in the queue and are prioritized for the next restock. They receive a notification as soon as new inventory arrives.

Can I disable Fair Queue for specific products?

Yes. You can configure Fair Queue settings per product or globally from the DemandLoop dashboard.

Does Fair Queue work with variants?

Yes. Each variant has its own queue. A restock of size-M is handled independently from size-L.

Can I manually trigger a new notification batch?

Yes. From the DemandLoop dashboard you can manually send a notification batch for any product at any time.
