Does web push work on mobile devices?

Yes, on Android via Chrome and Firefox. iOS 16.4+ also supports web push when the store is added to the home screen as a PWA.

Do customers need to install an app?

No. Web push uses the native browser notification system. No app download or account registration is required.

What if a customer subscribes via push but I also have their email?

DemandLoop sends both. Customers who subscribed through email get an email; those who subscribed through push get a push. Both channels are tracked separately in analytics.

Is a service worker required?

Yes. DemandLoop automatically serves a service worker at /bis-service-worker.js via Shopify's App Proxy, so it runs under your store's domain.

Can I see push delivery and click rates?
